Mestizo-pop band La Pegatina delivers a wide-range of joyful musical genres on its fourth album titled Eureka! The panglobal attitude also reaches the lyrics. Although most of the songs are in Spanish, the album also features vocals in Catalan, English, French, and Italian.

The album opens with a ska piece, which is a style popular with many mestizo bands. From ska La Pegatina moves to South American sounds with Andean and vallenato influences, Italian music, Gypsy rumba, more ska and beyond.

La Pegatina’s lineup includes Rubén Sierra “Pegatina” on vocals and guitar; Adrià Salas on vocals; Ovidi Díaz on percussion and backing vocals; Ferran Ibañez on bass and backing vocals; Axel Magnani on trumpet; Romain Renard on accordion; and Sergi López.

 

 

Guest include Sicilian act Baciamolemani, former Terrakota vocalist Romi Anauel, Santi Balmes from Love of Lesbian, Esne Beltza and former Aslándticos vocalist Mario Díaz and the brass section of Zulu 9:30.
