Afrobeat band Afrolicious has announced a new album titled California Dreaming Remixed, scheduled for releaase June 17th, 2014. California Dreaming Remixed includes remixes from legendary Jamaican dub producer Scientist, Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation, and many more.
Afrolicious will also hit the road this summer, supporting California Dreaming Remixed with concerts at festivals and clubs in California and Colorado including the High Sierra Music Festival. They are also closing out seven years of their legendary weekly party at the Elbo Room in San Francisco with back to back performances on June 5th and 6th. This will be the last time the live Afrolicious band plays and will be a finale for the famed residency that started as a weekly dance party with DJs and live dancers and became an institution and breeding ground for a global funk community.
