The Eyes of the Sky – 10 Beautiful Stories About Protecting the Pure Land of Taiwan (Wind Music, 2013)

Taiwanese music producer Judy Chin-Tai Wu brought together some of Taiwan’s finest musical talent for her preservation-awareness project titled The Eyes of The Sky – 10 Beautiful Stories About Protecting the Pure Land of Taiwan. The beautifully-packaged CD is a collection of evocative new age, cinematic classical and folk music-inspired pieces.

Each track is composed by a different artist. The most alluring reveal the folk music soul of Taiwan, including the songs ‘County Road 197’ by Lin Sheng-xiang, ‘The Mud’s Tears’ by Wu Hao-en, ‘The Remote East Coast’ by Lee Kuo-shiung, and the panoramic instrumental ‘The Tranquil Alangyi Trail’ by Ken Yang.

Judy Chin-Tai Wu has spent over ten years fusing original music with the sounds of nature, going from the forests to the ocean, assembling a new image of Taiwanese nature music.
