Roots Music Festival Old Settler’s Music Festival Reveals 2014 Lineup

Old_Settlers_2014The 27th Old Settler’s Music Festival announced the lineup for this year’s edition of the festival. The popular gathering of American roots music will take place Thursday-Sunday, April 10-13, 2014 at Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch, FM 1826 south of Austin, Texas.

Old Settler’s Music Festival will feature some of the United States’ finest roots, bluegrass and Americana artists. This year’s performers include Jeff Bridges & the Abiders, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, the Del McCoury Band, Sarah Jarosz, Lake Street Dive, Donna the Buffalo, John Fullbright, Bob Schneider and Dr. Ralph Stanley & His Clinch Mountain Boys.

In addition to live music, Old Settler’s provides workshops, sing-alongs, campground jam sessions, kids’ activities, a market area full of unique arts and crafts, specialty foods and brews as well as the Youth Talent Competition, where the headliners of tomorrow might gain early recognition.

The festival has added a ride-sharing board that allows festivalgoers to arrange joint transportation. It is accessible via oldsettlersmusicfest.org/directions/ride-share. The free app, downloadable via iPhone or Android stores, allows festivalgoers to create custom schedules and more.
