Cordoba’s National Flamenco Art Festival Announces the 2013 Winners

The names of the winners of the XX Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Córdoba (Cordoba’s National Flamenco Art Festival) were announced this week by the jury.

Guitar

1st Prize in the Guitar category goes to:

Severiano Jiménez Flores, aka ‘Niño Seve

He will get 10.000 euros, five performances in Córdoba province, and diploma

2nd Prize (comes with 4.000 euros and diploma):

ex aequo: Javier Conde Santos, aka ‘Javier Conde’ and Santiago Lara Puerto, aka ‘Santiago Lara’

Cante (Vocal)

1st Prize (winner gets 10.000 euros, five performances in Córdoba province, and diploma) goes to:

Manuel Domínguez Gallardo, aka ‘Manuel Cástulo

2nd Prize (winner gets 4.000 euros and diploma):

Pedro Heredia Reyes, aka ‘Pedro El Granaíno’

Finalists (2.000 euros and diploma):

Tamara Aguilera Garamendi, ‘Tamara Aguilera’ and Eva Mª de Dios Moreno, ‘Eva de Dios’

Dance (Baile)

1st Prize (winner gets 10.000 euros, five performances in Córdoba province, and diploma):

Mercedes Ruiz Muñoz, aka ‘Mercedes de Córdoba

2nd Prize (winner gets 4.000 euros and diploma):

Jesús Carmona Moreno, ‘Jesús Carmona’

Finalists (2.000 euros and diploma):

Ana Gómez Torcuato, aka ‘Ana-Calí’ and Emilio José Ramírez Sánchez, aka ‘Emilio Ramírez El Duende’

The first prize winners will perform on November 30 at 20:30 at the Gran Teatro in Cordoba.
