Education and flamenco will be the basic topics for discussion November 11-13 at Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Rafael Orozco’ in Córdoba (Spain). The sessions will feature renowned artists and educators. Along with the discussions, the Filmoteca de Andalucía will present an exhibition of flamenco film posters together with various events at peñas flamencas (flamenco clubs), patios and Street performance on November 13th carried out by conservatory students.
Starting November 14th, the Palacio de Congresos will hold the International Flamenco Congress and Cultural Industries Fair that will include Morocco’s most important festivals. The opening day will have a commercial and business focus with panels about the international market for flamenco and the creative industry.
That same day, a new information center will open at Posada del Potro that will provide Access to all documents available at the Centro Andaluz del Flamenco de Jerez.
On November 15, topics will include flamenco coverage in international media and patronage or sponsorship of flamenco.
Flamenco artists Eva Yerbabuena, Gerardo Núñez, Fosforito, Arcángel, Yoko Komatsubara and Jorge Pardo will reveal their international experiences with flamenco on November 16.
Every night, the federation of Peñas Flamencas will host a performance. The closing gala will take place at Teatro Góngora to celebrate Flamenco Day in Andalucía.
