Renowned Fado, African Blues and Salsa Acts at 2013 Savannah Music Festival

Fado star Ana Moura (Portugal) will headline the world music concerts on a bill with the premiere of Robert Sadin’s “Messina: Songs of the Night” featuring clarinetist Patrick Messina. Other world music concerts include African Blues & The Creole-Cajun Crossroads which brings together African blues guitarist Boubacar Traoré (Mali) on a bill with American multi-instrumentalists Cedric Watson and Dirk Powell; and the popular salsa band Spanish Harlem Orchestra from New York.

Savannah Music Festival (SMF) is a city-wide musical arts event showcasing renowned performers in jazz, classical, Americana and world music against the backdrop of one of the United States of America’s most enchanting historic districts. The festival runs from March 21 to April 6.
