The line-up this year includes rising world music acts Fatoumata Diawara, Rupa & The April Fishes and legendary reggae band The Wailers. Other featured acts include: Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Donna the Buffalo, Preston Frank, Driftwood, Suénalo, YARN, Elephant Revival, Steep Canyon Rangers, Rosie Ledet & The Zydeco Playboys, Lost In the Trees, Hoots & Hellmouth, J.P. Harris & The Tough Choices, Shannon Whitworth, Casey Driessen, and ArtOfficial.
Local favorites include: LiLa, Songs of Water, Mipso, Deer Clan Singers, The Mighty Sanfordaires, Ayr Mountaineers, Big Fat Gap, Carolina Lightning, Paperhand Puppet Intervention, Music From the Gathering Church, Crys Matthews, Mason’s Apron, Randy Dean Whitt, The Morning After, Little Root, Bulltown Strutters, and Cane Creek Cloggers.

Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival also features local crafts, delicious food, various children’s activities, environmental sustainability workshops, and much more in a family-friendly environment.
Festival tickets are on sale now and available by phone and at shakorihillsgrassroots.org/tickets-info. Four-day passes are $95 in advance and $100 at the gate. Youth 4-day passes are $55. Kids 12 and under are free. Day passes are $25 (Thurs), $35 (Fri), $45 (Sat), and $25 (Sun). Youth prices (13-15) are $12, $17, $20, and $12. Tent camping is $10 per tent and vehicle camping is $50 in advance and $60 at the gate.
