Rare Limited Edition Ali Farka Toure 10″ on Sale Tomorrow celebrating Record Store Day

Ali Farka Touré
World music label World Circuit Records will be releasing a rare Ali Farka Touré track on 10″ vinyl only for Record Store Day on April 16th April 2011.

Recorded in 1975 and unavailable for over 30 years, Manakoidé is a masterpiece of acoustic proto afro-funk from Mali’s legendary singer and guitarist. The 10″ also includes two never before released recordings, one being the original version of Sabu Yerkoy found on the Grammy Award winning album ‘Ali and Toumani’ (WCD083). Both were recorded in the early 1970s and are from Ali’s personal collection.

A limited run of 1000 of these 10″s will be released especially for Record Store Day 2011 with cover art featuring photography of Ali from the Radio Mali era. The record will be available in limited quantities from these stores in the UK and Ireland:
