Portuguese singer Claudia Aurora will be performing this coming Saturday, 12 March 2011, 8pm at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, in London, as part of WOW – Women of the World Festival.
Claudia Aurora is a new powerful fado voice. The singer-songwriter’s award-winning debut album ‘Silencio’ last year wowed the critics as the first collection of original fado songs to be recorded in the UK.
Launching this year, WOW – Women of the World – is a celebration of the formidable strength and inventiveness of women – a pioneering, groundbreaking annual festival, which will present, recognize and celebrate women, and act as a conversation space for issues of all kinds.
