Vocal Master Youssef Kassab to Perform with Zikrayat in New York City

Vocal master Youssef Kassab, accompanied by Zikrayat, will perform Saturday, October 23, 9pm at Alwan for the Arts in New York City.

Zikrayat is led by violinist, composer and vocalist Sami Abu Shumays, and dancer Dameshe Shumays, featuring vocalists Salma Habib and Salah Rajab and a talented lineup of acoustic instrumentalists and Egyptian-style dancers. It is a New York City-based Arabic music and dance group unique in presenting the classical and dance repertories of the Arab World side-by-side.

The Zikrayat line-up includes Sami Abu Shumays on violin, Tareq Abboushi on buzuq, Bridget Robbins on nay, Apostolos Sideris on double bass, and Johnny Farraj on riqq
