Times Square Records has released History of Indian Film Music – A Showcase of the Very Best in Hindi Cinema, the first ever authentic historic collection of Bollywood music tracing its history from its beginnings in 1930 to the present.

Accompanied by a hard bound book tracing the history of the music with rare pictures, this set in stellar packaging features the greatest Bollywood hits of all times, and is produced as a joint collaboration by two of the oldest media companies in the subcontinent of India; Saregama (formerly The Gramophone Company of India) and The Times of India Group (the oldest News Media Corporation in India).

CD 1 covers the 1930s-40s, CD 2 & 3 centers on the 1950s, CD 4 & 5 focuses on the 1960s, CD 6 & 7 features music from the 1970s, CD 8 takes a look at the 1980s, CD 9 is a portrait of the 1990s and CD 10 shows us the sounds of 2000s and onward.
