Ever since the Spaniards brought the horse to North America, it quickly became an essential part of American Indian life. Jay Begaye, who is Diné (Navajo) and his daughter, Tiinesha Begaye (Similkameen-Dine), honor their horses through their music.

The mesmerizing Horses Are Our Journey includes traditional Navajo music as well as Canadian Round Dance (Jay Begaye spent many years before returning to Arizona) songs and a Pow-Wow style piece with lyrics by Jay Begaye and Tiinesha Begaye.

Horses Are Our Journey is a down to earth passionate recording which reflects the beauty of the Diné (Navajo) culture.
