The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) announced that Syrian diva Mayada El Henawi will sing live in the capital as part of the authorities’ year long program Sounds of Arabia and the last Thursday Concert of each month.

The concert will take place on Thursday 28 January at Emirates Palace Auditorium and Mayada El Henawi will meet media representative before she begins her performance. Mayada is one of the great Arab voices who sung Tarab songs for great Arab poets and three generations of great composers and musicians in the Arab world.

She started her career with legendary composer Reyad Al Sunbati, later with the great Mohammed Al Mogi, Baleigh Hamdi, and Sayed Mekawi, and she continued with young composers such as Amar Al Shareei and Salah Al Sharnobi. That’s why she was named “Generations Diva.”

Sound of Arabia is dedicated to bringing authentic Arab music alive by featuring Tarab singers and musical concerts from the Arab world throughout the year. The program also reminds of great musical masterworks made in the beautiful era of Arabia.
