WOMEX 2008 Opening Will Present Renowned Flamenco Acts

As a final, fond farewell to [wiki:Sevilla], WOMEX 2008’s Opening will bring some of the best of [wiki:flamenco] present and future Wednesday, 29 October, at the Teatro Lope de Vega. "We’re thrilled to announce that the great Miguel Poveda will be kicking off the evening," says a WOMEX press release. "Poveda’s won nearly every award there is in [wiki:Spain] and  abroad, including Grammys and Spain’s Premio Nacional de Música in interpretation from the Ministry of Culture."

Sevilla’s own Ultra High Flamenco opens the show. It’s all rounded off by late-night DJing from Los Rumbers.
