Paris, France – The third edition of the world music forum ‘Babel Med Music’ will take place from the 29th to the 31st of March at the famous venue ‘Docks des Suds’ in Marseilles.
Babel Med Music is a professional and cultural forum which welcomes artists, musicians, festival directors, distributors, labels, artist agents and managers from all over the world to gather in order to accomplish professional deeds. There will be a market/forum space, holding over 100 stands (booths) reserved for all the professionals present at the event.
Conferences and meetings around the theme of musical creation and cultural exchange will be the main focus of the forum, nothing that the ‘EFWMF’ (European Forum of World Music Festivals), the biggest European network for world music festivals, unites each year in that very place.
A film projection room will also be open every night and day to present musical DVDs, videos and documentaries is also available to insure good promotion of world music artists.
It is clear nonetheless that the best way to spread the word about a musician is to perform, and the Babel Med Music forum has not omitted this vital detail.
During the forum, there will be 30 concerts taking place on 3 different stages situated in the same port dock that is used for the ‘Fiesta des Suds’ festival, thus guaranteeing a sound of full quality.
Amongst the artists that will be performing at the occasion, one can note French productions such as Nathalie Natiembé, Dupain, Lura, Diogal and Ilene Barnes just to name a few, which once more outlines the strong implication of the French in the promotion of World Music.
