reggae in the 1970s. Most of the biggest names are included here (except
Bob
Marley, who has his own Gold collection).
Reggae Gold is full of
memorable songs like the now classic “Israelites” by Desmond Dekker and other
well known reggae hits such as “Pressure Drop” by Toots & the Maytals and
Jimmy
Cliff‘s “The Harder They Come.” The focus of the compilation is what is known as roots reggae, skipping
