“Walk Across the World” Peace Initiative 2007 is a worldwide coordinated effort to bring spiritual and community leaders into global collaboration to simultaneously ‘Walk for Peace’ on October 2nd, 2007 in honor of Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday, in every land on earth the combined total distance covered on the walks equaling the circumference of our Earth, some 24,000 miles.
This outpouring of social action will not only commemorate one of the world’s great spiritual peace activists, Mahatma Gandhi, it will also shine a light on the current leaders in every land who have taken up that peace torch and strive to bring about growth and change for humanity’s betterment.
