Guitar Master Debashish Bhattacharya’s Will Showcase at WOMEX

Debashish Bhattacharya will be performing at WOMEX on October 29,
14:00-15:00pm, in the Northern Rock Foundation Hall.

Pandit (master) Debashish Bhattacharya is one of the world’s most remarkable
slide guitarists and his latest album,

Calcutta Slide-Guitar, Vol. 3, represents the culmination of a
lifetime of intensive study, performance and innovation. All the guitars heard on

Calcutta Slide-Guitar, Vol. 3 are unique instruments designed by
Debashish himself, a Trinity of Guitars – Chaturangui, Gandharvi and Anandi –
representing three generations of instruments, while also continuing a
thousand-year tradition of music.
