The LaGuardia Performing Arts Center Closes its “Performance Planet” Music Series on June 14 with Asian-American Singer

Long Island City, New York, USA – The
LaGuardia Performing Arts Center is closing its “Performance Planet
music series on June 14 with Kevin So, a young up-and-coming Asian-American
singer/songwriter.

Mr. So, who has a distinct sound that blends pop, rhythm
and blues, and hip hop, has already made a name for himself in New York and
Boston where he is performing at sold out shows. He has also been the opening
act for some of the industry’s best known performers, including Joe *censored*er,
Randy Newman, Richie Havens, and Mary Lou Lord.He recently released his collaboration with Keb’Mo’ titled,
Talk. And his latest CD Leaving the Lights On, combines the beats
and harmonies of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop.

The concert will be held in the college’s Little Theatre at
47th Avenue and Van Dam Street in Long Island City. The event
begins at 7:30 p.m.
