Lisbon, Portugal – World Trends (Different World DW50010CD, 2005) is an album that gathers some of the best names in the art of melting roots with modern vibes. It includes the warmth of African rhythms, passionate Tango, the melancholy of Fado, the joy of Bossa Nova, spicy Flamenco and sounds from the exotic Balkans.The collection features renowned artists such as Astor Piazzolla and Amália Rodrigues, and the joining of different backgrounds such as Asian Dub Foundation with Sinéad O’Connor, Terry Hall with Mushtaq, and a remix of the main theme from the motion picture Cidade de Deus (City of God).
