Paris, France – Boubacar Traoré will release a new album in France, UK, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and the US in 2005. The Malian singer and guitarist was a true idol for the whole west coast Africa in the 60’s and was often compared with the great Chuck Berry.
A lot of people know him, but he made no money from his music for a long time. Yet his latest albums produced in Europe have met great enthusiasm among critics and the general public. His acoustic blues is remarkable. A world tour is scheduled in summer 2005 including Europe, Canada and the US.
Recordings available:
- In North America: Kongo Magni, Kar Kar, African Classics: Boubacar Traore, Macire, Je chanterai pour toi
- In Europe: Kongo Magni, Macire, Je Chanterai Pour Toi
