USA – Senegalese singer Fania will be touring the United States in June. Born in Senegal, but now living in France, Fania first sparked interest as a vocalist with the group Kaoma, who made the Lambada an international phenomenon. Her solo recording, Sopi, sung in Peulh, Wolof, Sarakhole and Manding, combines traditional instruments with an infusion of contemporary influences including Los Angeles hip hop.
