London, England – British label electric Melt will release May 14 an album titled Sanscapes – Visions of the Bushmen that draws its inspiration from the ancient culture of the San Bushmen of Southern Africa. The CD features raw recordings from the Pops Mohamed Presents the Bushmen of the Kalahari that have been remixed by some of the world’s best producers and remixers: Raj Gupta, Simon Emerson, Kirk Degiorgio, Smadj, and many others.
This project is to raise awareness and financial support for the San Bushmen of Southern Africa. A non-profit venture, all proceeds from the album sales and gigs will be donated to WIMSA (Working Groups of Indigenous Minorities of Southern Africa).
