The Festival de las Capacidades 2015 (Capabilities Festival), a new festival also known as Cap-Fest is scheduled for December 4 and 5, 2015 in December in Los Cristianos, Arona, Tenerife (Canary islands, Spain). The free admission festival will feature celebrated Malian acts Amadou & Mariam and Toumani Diabate, along with American singer-songwriter Peter Broderick, Ait Nahaya (Morocco-Canary Islands), and Pascal Kleiman (France).

In addition to music, the festival intends to break taboos with its high-level conferences on sex in functional diversity, therapeutic CBD and its effect on the brain, biotechnology and “trans-humanization” among others, with the assistance of prestigious speakers on the subject.

Cap-Fest is born with the aim of empowering the large social group of people with disabilities. The festival is co-organized and led by the Municipality of Arona (areas of Culture, Tourism and Economic Development), the Cultura y Capacidad company, and with the sponsorship of the Culture Department of the Canary Islands Government, the Council of the island of Tenerife and the collaboration of Cajacanarias foundation and the Caixa Foundation.
