Etnosur 2006, World Music in Spain’s Olive Oil Country

Alcalá la Real (Jaen), Spain – Etnosur, an annual world music festival held in Alcalá la Real, in the province of Jaen (Spain), will be held July 21, 22 and 23. All concerts are free. The province of Jaen is one of the main olive oil regions in Spain. Alcalá La Real is about half an hour from Granada.

The festival includes concerts by international and Spanish acts, workshops and other events. A new presentation this year will be the solar cooking pots, which is a great to help families in developing countries without having to cut wood and deforestate large areas for cooking.

The artists will perform in pairs and will jam during parts of the festival.
