Scottish folk group Meallan have released their debut single, “Groovy Gal.” The emerging ensemble combines fiddle, clàrsach, accordion, guitar, keyboard, and Gaelic song. They bring together traditional and contemporary influences within their sound.
The single features two instrumental pieces. The title track, “Groovy Gal,” was composed by Ruby Smith, while “Rhena’s 80th” was written by Louise Bichan.
