Marina Paredes – Para Nacer (Metales Preciosos Música, 2026)
Marina Paredes, a neofolk singer-songwriter and physical theater performer from Villajoyosa, Spain, released her debut album, Para Nacer, in spring 2026. Para Nacer was recorded and produced by Gabriel Vidanauta. Marina chose a minimalist, intimate and carefully detailed approach, with elegant arrangements that keep the focus on her lovely, multifaceted voice, lyrics, and atmosphere.
The record includes songs such as “Codas”; “Al Aire”; “Pardalet,” featuring Cármen Aciar; and the title track, “Para Nacer.” Together, they outline Paredes’ lyrical world, where charming poetic language and everyday experience meet in measured and reflective form.
Born in 1998, Paredes’ background in theater influenced her vocal delivery, while her songwriting is based on Spanish and Latin American folk traditions, folk-rock, and popular song. At the same time, Marina adds subtle electronic elements that enrich her sound.
