Arkansauce – OK to Wonder (self-release, 2023)
The progressive bluegrass band, Arkansauce, renowned for their innovative string quartet compositions, hails from Arkansas and unveiled their much-awaited fifth album, “OK to Wonder,” on April 21, 2023.
The album, which boasts 11 distinctive tracks, features every member’s distinctive contributions to both the lyrics and vocal components, with each of them taking the lead and harmony parts.
The band’s music seamlessly combines dazzling improvisational string solos with detailed melodies, engaging rhythms, and resonant bass grooves rooted in bluegrass, Americana, and jazz that offer a deeply gratifying auditory experience.
The musical pieces on the album derive their inspiration from the serene and picturesque Ozark Mountains’ rolling hills and meandering rivers, coupled with the group’s thrilling experiences on the road.
The band includes Adams Collins on banjo, piano, and vocals; Tom Andersen on bass and vocals; Zac Archuleta on guitar and vocals; and Ethan Bush on mandolin and vocals.
