Zimbabwean musician Daniel Gonora and his band Gonora Sounds have released a new album titled “Hard Times Never Kill“.
Gonora Sounds is led by masterful blind guitar player and singer-songwriter Daniel Gonora, a former member of Jairos Jiri Band. The group plays a musical genre called sungura that combines Zimbabwean traditional music with other African influences.
The band also includes Daniel’s son, Isaac Gonora on drums; Nelson “Mr Longman” Mutanda on guitar; Malizani Mbewe on bass; and backing vocalists Sehlaphi Mtombeni and Isabel Piyo.
