The finals took place on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 at the Si ‘e Boi Theater in Selargius in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy).

The Andrea Parodi World Music Award was created to honor Andrea Parodi, an important Sardinian world music artist, who died 15 years ago. The awards are granted by the Andrea Parodi Foundation with artistic direction by Elena Ledda.

The overall winner is entitled to a €2,500 grant, as well as the opportunity to perform in some Parodi partner festivals, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli) and the Andrea Parodi 2022 Prize. On the other hand, the winner of the Critic’s Award will have the opportunity to create a professional music video of the piece entered in competition, produced by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. Furthermore, some of the partner festivals (such as Mare e Miniere) will choose their performers among the finalists.
