Appalachian Road Show Wins Two IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards

American roots supergroup Appalachian Road Show was named the Instrumental Group of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the 2021 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Bluegrass Music Awards. The band combines bluegrass, Americana and folk music rooted in Appalachian music.

We are beyond grateful to the IBMA and its members for this recognition,” said Appalachian Road Show fiddler Jim VanCleve. “It is so appreciated and encouraging to be validated, and to know for sure that people are responding to the authentic brand of art we’re trying to bring forth. We will certainly continue to work hard to be deserving of these honors.”

Members of Appalachian Road Show include bassist Todd Phillips, fiddler Jim VanCleve, banjoist Barry Abernathy, mandolinist Darrell Webb, and guitarist Zeb Snyder. Together, they perform instrumental jams, theatrical and historical storytelling and an interactive musical experience.

Appalachian Road Show has released two albums, ‘Barry Abernathy and Darrell Webb Presents Appalachian Road Show‘ (2018) and ’Tribulation’ (2020). The supergroup is currently working on its third studio album, which will be announced early 2022.
