Amira Kheir’s Mystic Dance represents the new music of Sudan, modern and rooted in tradition. Amira Kheir is an Italian-Sudanese singer-songwriter, arranger and percussionist. On Mystic Dance she delivers a flavorful and enthralling mix of original songs and rearranged traditional pieces where Arabic and African music intersect modern rock guitars.

The lineup includes Amira Kheir on vocals and percussion; Nadir Ramzy on oud, percussion and vocals; Michele Montolli on double bass, electric bass and vocals; Tal Janes on acoustic guitar, electric guitar and vocals; Leandro Mancini on drums, percussion and vocals; Idris Rahman on clarinet and tenor saxophone; Leeto Thale on spoken word; and Hal Hutchison on marimba.
