Within the framework of flamenco festival Alcobendas Flamenca 2018, the fifth edition of the Flamenco New Talent contest for young people between 14 and 30 years old is now open. The prize includes three modalities: Song, Dance and Guitar. There will also be three categories: National-International (2,000 euros prize per modality), Local (500 euros of prize per modality) and Public Award (accrediting diploma). The registration period is open until March 15, 2018
The information and videos of the participants will be published on the web where the general public will be able to vote by clicking on the Facebook button that will appear under each of their favorite artists.
A jury composed of renowned personalities in the flamenco scene will choose the rest of the winners
The winners will perform at the Awards Gala that will take place on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Paco de Lucía Auditorium in the Alcobendas Art Center, along with one of the winning artists of the 2017 edition.
Guitarists Javier Conde and David Caro, singers Pepe el Boleco, Rafael del Zambo, Rocio Luna and Cristina Soler, as well as dancers Macarena Ramírez, Palmira Durán and Cristian Pérez are some of the winners of Alcobendas Flamenca Nuevos Talentos in previous editions.
