Música en Segura, a festival dedicated to classical music, Flamenco, jazz and singer-songwriters will take place May 24 to 28, 2017 in Segura de la Sierra (Jaén).
Rocío Bazán, Gabo Fernández, Albert Sanz, Mamie Matsuda, Riot Ensemble, Trio Rodin and Dudok Kwartet are some of the acts scheduled to perform this year.
The venues include historic sites, such as the 15th Century Old Church of the Jesuits, main headquarters of the festival; the Arab bathhouses and the small village of Morajelos, near the Cazorla Nature Park.
In collaboration with Olivar de Segura, the inaugural concert will take place on May 24 at the Orcera oil factory featuring Spanish flamenco vocalist Rocío Bazán and London contemporary music group Riot Ensemble.
The international cast of the festival will also include the Dudok String Quartet of Amsterdam, the Trio Rodin, Japanese soprano Mamie Matsuda, jazz pianist Albert Sanz and Argentine singer-songwriter Gabo Ferro, among others.
In addition to the music events, Música en Segura will also feature regional wine tastings and a musical instrument maker exhibition.
