Argentine guitarist, composer and vocalist Cecilia Zabala Argentina will showcase a sample of her repertoire on Friday, May 8th at 22:00 at Café La Granja in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain.
The concert will feature Zabala in solo format and she will present material from her previous recordings: Aguaribay (2007), Pendiente (2008), Presente Infinito (2011) and Violeta (2013). She was also preview materials from her upcoming album “Fronteras”, with pianist and composer Philippe Baden Powell, also featuring outstanding arranger and cellist Jaques Morelenbaum.
The music of Cecilia Zabala crosses multiple boundaries, ranging from Argentine folk music to contemporary classical, jazz, tango, and Brazilian music.
Since 2006, Zabala has been performing throughout Europe, North America and Latin America. In 2009 she was part of “International Guitar Night”, a project where four
guitarists-composers of international renown provide a concert with their own music, as well as collaborations between them. With this project she toured the UK, Canada and United States
