Ana Moura is one of the great fado singers in the current Portuguese scene. On her fourth album, Leva-me aos fados, she shows her masterful technique using her rich, deep voice in an intimate environment. The musical arrangements are exquisite. Producer, arranger and musician Jorge Fernando has done a fabulous job by using traditional instruments such as Portuguese guitar, guitar and bass.

Fernando brought top virtuoso musicians to the studio to work with Ana Moura. Musicians include Custodio Castelo (Portuguese guitar), Jorge Fernando (guitar), Filipe Larsen (bass guitar), Yuri Daniel (double bass) and the fascinating Gaiteiros de Lisboa make a guest appearance on the unconventional ‘Nao é um fado normal.’

The album, released in in Portugal in October of 2009, came out in north America this year. In Portugal it reached Platinum status and is still climbing, proving that Ana Moura has that fado magic that the knowledgeable Portuguese fans appreciate well.
