Howl About That: Josie Duncan Channels the Cù-Sìth in New Single

Scottish singer Josie Duncan has released a new single titled “The Wee Hours,” created for the short film Faithful by Silly Wee Films. The track, recorded at Blackbay Studio on the Isle of Lewis, reflects Duncan’s signature emotional intensity and was described by the artist as a work into which she “poured her whole heart.”

Faithful, directed by Lucy Linger, draws from the legend of the Cù-Sìth, a spectral fairy dog from Scottish folklore said to guide souls to the Otherworld after three haunting howls. The story follows 14-year-old Vaila as she embarks on a midnight journey to summon the creature in hopes of saving her mother and mending her fractured family.

The film combines myth and modernity and will stream on STV Player.
