Every year world music conference WOMEX invites a Jury made up of well-respected members of the world music community. The Jury members – also known as the 7 Samurai – work on the Showcase and Conference selection: two Samurai are in charge of the Conference programming, while the other five are asked to shape the Showcase Festival.

Peter Hvalkof (Denmark)
Penny King (UK)
Simone Schrempf (Germany)

Artists, speakers, and filmmakers are called on to submit their Showcase, Conference, and Film proposals for WOMEX 2011 Copenhagen. The deadline is Friday, 15 April 2011. Submission forms and further information are available online at http://www.womex.com/lnk/how-to-propose
