Ronnie Baker Brooks, the Chicago-based blues guitarist, has announced the launch of his “Blues In My DNA” tour to support his debut album with Alligator Records, Blues In My DNA.
The tour starts today with a hometown record release show in Chicago. Following this, Brooks will perform on a Caribbean blues cruise before heading to Denmark. The U.S. leg of the tour will cover the East Coast, Midwest, South, and West Coast, with select dates on the East Coast featuring special double bills with fellow Alligator Records artist Coco Montoya.
Brooks has also released a live performance video for “All True Man,” a song co-written with Todd Mohr of Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and included in the new album’s studio recording.
Brooks describes All True Man as “definitely an inspiration from my dad. And working with Todd, a great songwriter on his own, it became my own thing, and I’m thrilled to share it with everyone.”
