Las Migas, the renowned all-female flamenco quartet from Spain, will embark on a 12-city North American tour next month to promote their latest album, Rumberas. The tour marks their return to the U.S. after winning the 2022 Latin GRAMMY for Best Flamenco Album with Libres, and follows a new Latin GRAMMY nomination for Rumberas in 2024.
The group’s newest album combines the rhythms of rumba flamenca and traditional flamenco with memorable hooks and vocal harmonies. Rumberas incorporates influences from Spain, Cuba, and Mexico, creating a fusion that transcends musical boundaries.
The current members, Paula Ramírez, Marta Robles, Alicia Grillo, and Laura Pacios, view “rumbera” not just as a musical style, but as a celebration of women’s resilience and expression. For Las Migas, it represents authenticity and defies conventional labels.
