Greece’s Music Village Reveals 2025 Folk Tradition Workshops

Music Village returns for its 19th edition in Agios Lavrentios, Mt. Pelion, Greece, continuing its tradition of artistic collaboration in a setting renowned for its natural and architectural beauty.

Organized by the non-profit ARTree and supported by the Metropolis of Demetrias, the Local Community of Agios Lavrentios, the Development Association of Agios Lavrentios, and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, the 2025 program features 18 symbiotic workshops.

Led by 27 artists, musicians, educators, and specialists in sound research, physical arts, and theatre, the workshops will run across four weekly cycles from August 18 to September 14. The program explores the intersections of music, physical practices, technology, theater, dance, folk traditions, improvisation, and more.

As in previous editions, the workshops will culminate in live performances and spontaneous events, all open to the public with free admission.
