Baarakelaw by Malian artist Samba Touré attained the highest spot on the Transglobal World Music Chart for March 2025. Baarakelaw mixes traditional northern Malian Songhoy music with blues-rock, psychedelic elements, and ballads. Drawing from over three decades of experience, Touré incorporates the sounds and styles that define his musical identity. The album explores the struggles of street workers in Bamako, capturing the realities of life in a fast-paced, dust-filled West African city.
