The cover for Mason Via's single Fireball features an intimate scene of a couple sitting in an old vehicle, leaning in with their foreheads touching.

Burning Bright: Mason Via Ignites with ‘Fireball’

Mason Via delivers an energetic yet heartfelt anthem with his latest single, Fireball. Co-written with rising country artist Zach John King, the song was initially intended for a major country star. However, Via’s deep personal connection to the lyrics led him to claim it for himself.

We were writing just off Music Row [Nashville], aiming for a big-name artist,” Via recalls. “But the more I sat with it, the more I realized how much it resonated with me. I couldn’t shake it. I just married the love of my life—she keeps me grounded in the chaos of being a full-time musician. In a world that moves fast, I’m just grateful to be in love.”

Mixing spirited instrumentals with reflective lyricism, Fireball captures the tension between life’s whirlwind and the steady presence of true love. Lines like “She’s the steady in my storm, the rock to my roll” and “She’s a Sunday morning hymn that’s running right through me” illustrate love as both a driving force and a stabilizing anchor.

Mason is joined by a stellar crew of bluegrass musicians, including Aaron Ramsey on mandolin, Jason Davis on banjo, Jim Van Cleve on fiddle, Jeff Partin on bass and resophonic guitar, Kyser George on guitar, and Nick Goad and Brooks Forsyth on harmony vocals.
