The second installment of the Feyzullah Çınar Eserleri project, dedicated to the revered Turkish folk poet Feyzullah Çınar, has been released under the Kalan Music label. This tribute album continues to celebrate Çınar’s legacy, preserving his compositions and the words of distinguished folk poets such as Pir Sultan Abdal, Teslim Abdal, Hatayî, and Nesimi.
Curated by Erdal Erzincan and Cengiz Özkan, two leading figures in Turkish folk music, the project took nearly two years to complete. It brings together a diverse group of musicians, each lending their voice to Çınar’s timeless works. Following the first album, which featured Erdal Erzincan, Cengiz Özkan, Dertli Divani, Nidâ Ateş, Ahmet Aslan, and other renowned artists, Feyzullah Çınar Eserleri 2 introduces performances by Erkan Oğur, Erol Mutlu, Mehmet Akbaş, Salman Tin, Murat Çorak, and several others, including the late Yeliz Aykaç.
Beyond its musical depth, the project also offers a visual tribute. For the first time, previously unseen photographs from Çınar’s personal archive have been digitized, providing a rare glimpse into different periods of his life.
With its rich lineup of voices and a carefully curated selection of compositions, Feyzullah Çınar Works 2 serves as both a tribute to the past and a bridge to future generations, ensuring that Çınar’s influence endures.
