Unspoken Tradition Releases Striking Music Video Amidst Storm Recovery

Bluegrass group Unspoken Tradition has unveiled a new music video for their cover of Alabama’s classic, “I’m In A Hurry (And Don’t Know Why).”

Filmed on the rooftop of Asheville’s Citizen Vinyl, the video was shot just before Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, leaving significant damage in its wake. Now immersed in the region’s recovery efforts, the band finds renewed meaning in the song, capturing both the urgency and resilience of their community as they work toward normalcy in the midst of the storm’s aftermath.

Says lead singer and guitarist Audie McGinnis, about the song, “I was born in ’85, so 90s country was a part of life during that period. I still use 90s country to get back there, nostalgically. Alabama was an awesome country band, and vocally, this song is just so fun to sing. The a cappella intro always grabbed my attention back then, and knowing our band has so many capable singers, I wanted to give this one a try as a fun cover.
