Thomas Cassell Releases “Reincarnation in Retrospect”

Thomas Cassell, a modern bluegrass artist, has released “Reincarnation in Retrospect” through Mountain Fever Records. This single is part of his upcoming album, The Never-Ending Years. The track delves into themes of existence and purpose, encouraging listeners to reflect on these concepts. Featuring a lineup of renowned musicians, the single is designed to resonate with bluegrass enthusiasts across various tastes.

Cassell explains his inspiration, stating, “I was considering the theory of reincarnation, and the almost comical irony that if we’re all to live countless lifetimes, we retain no memory and start from scratch each time. Something about that is true in this one life that we have; even though we’re given endless chances, human nature keeps us doomed to repeat our worst mistakes.”

The recording of this song was brought to life by Thomas Cassell on lead vocal and mandolin; Tim Stafford on guitar; Ron Stewart on banjo; Rob Ickes on resophonic guitar; Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle; Max Etling on bass; with Ashby Frank and Amanda Fields on harmony vocals.
