FlamencoEñe 2024: Twelve Concerts to Showcase Flamenco in Granada, September 11-13

The SGAE Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Granada, the Andalusian Flamenco Institute, and the Regional Government of Andalusia, will host FlamencoEñe 2024 from September 11 to 13, 2024. This ninth edition of the flamenco showcase for international performing arts programmers is part of the “Granada es Flamenco 365” initiative and serves as a prelude to the Granada Flamenco Biennial.

FlamencoEñe 2024 will feature a dual approach: one side dedicated to traditional flamenco and the other to the contemporary, underground scene with FlamencoEñe Off. Twelve artists and groups will perform short concerts for both the public and flamenco professionals worldwide. The event also aims to strengthen connections between Spanish flamenco artists and international venues and festivals, expanding the genre’s reach beyond Spain’s borders.

Classic Flamenco at the Federico García Lorca Center

For the third consecutive year, the SGAE Foundation will offer two distinct branches of flamenco. The traditional aspect will be showcased by six artists performing at the Federico García Lorca Center in Granada from September 11 to 13, starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available for €8 per day, with sales beginning on August 15 at redentradas.com.

The program will open on September 11 with guitarist Manuel Valencia and vocalist Sergio El Colorao, a prominent figure in Granada’s flamenco scene. On September 12, performances by singer María Mezcle and flamenco bassist Juanfe Pérez will take place. The series will conclude on September 13 with the young voice of Reyes Carrasco and the eclectic, avant-garde guitar of Madrid’s Josete Ordóñez.

The flamenco fusion set will feature: Clara Incendio, Crudo Pimento y Pablo Egea, David Surex, Joaquín Sánchez y Tony Martín, Pedro de Dios y Antonio Fernández, Proyecto Lorca and Sofía Comas con Sonakay
