The Nebraska folk trio, The Wildwoods, has released a new music video for their single “Cherry Pickin‘.” The band, known for their rising prominence in the Americana music scene, recently gained significant attention when their cover of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros’ “Home” went viral on Instagram.
“Cherry Pickin’,” features visuals, described by singer and violinist Chloe Gose as capturing the joy of companionship and cherished moments. Filmed in Lincoln, Nebraska, during cherry season, the video originally intended to feature cherry trees but was altered due to the heat. Instead, the first part was filmed at the University of Nebraska’s East Campus, surrounded by gardens, and the second part in the back of a vintage 1949 Chevy truck, provided by a fan’s neighbor.
The video highlights the band’s connection with their community and their appreciation for its support.
