Delia Fischer Releases Delightful Single “Intimo” Featuring Tico de Moraes

Delia Fischer has released her new single “Intimo,” a collaboration with acclaimed Brazilian guitarist, singer, and composer Tico de Moraes. The song, performed in Portuguese and English, features delicate and emotional renditions from both artists. Their vocal timbres complement each other, enhanced by Brazilian-style jazz instrumentation, particularly in the interplay between Tico’s 7-string guitar and Delia’s piano, as well as the creative vocal arrangements.

This collaboration follows Fischer’s earlier English-language single, “What Good Is Summer?” (Labidad Records), the first release from Fischer’s forthcoming album, Beyond Bossa, scheduled for release in September. This album, Fischer’s first primarily in English, will feature guest appearances by international jazz and Brazilian stars, including Luciana Souza, Gretchen Parlato, Marcos Valle, Chico Pinheiro, New York Voices, Mario Biondi, and Marcio Nucci.

Fischer aims to broaden her international exposure with this new English version. Her goal is to introduce Brazilian music to new audiences, particularly in the USA.

Delia Fischer, a singer, songwriter, pianist, and arranger, has received two Latin Grammy nominations for Best Brazilian (MPB) Album of the Year, one in 2019 for Tempo Mínimo (Labidad) and another in 2021 for H.O.J.E. (Labidad). Born in Rio de Janeiro to a German-Jewish immigrant father and a Brazilian mother, Fischer’s work spans MPB, post-Bossa Nova, samba, and pop.

Fischer has collaborated with numerous Brazilian and international artists, including Marcos Valle, Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Ivan Lins, Ed Motta, Egberto Gismonti, Toninho Horta, Hermeto Pascoal, Ana Carolina, Romero Lubambo, Swedish singer Lisa Nilsson, Italian singer-songwriter Tony Canto, French-Cameroonian singer Valérie Ékoumè, and Spanish-Brazilian singer Leo Minax. In January 2023, she released Andar com Gil (Jasmin Music), a tribute album to Gilberto Gil, featuring Gil himself on one track.

Tico de Moraes, a guitarist, singer, and composer, is known for his versatility across styles, especially jazz and MPB. With over 6 million streams on Spotify, he has recorded numerous albums and singles/EPs and has performed with artists such as Áurea Martins, Zé Luiz Mazziotti, Gilson Peranzetta, Maurício Einhorn, and Nelson Faria.
